About Me

Hello! I’m #dribiyinka, a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. My passion lies in treating adults with chronic diseases like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and fatty liver, with a focus on preventative health and wellness.

I am passionate about the metabolic syndrome and its management. I also help people lose weight through a physician-led, evidence-based, therapeutic approach tailor-made to the individual.

After graduating with a medical degree from Lagos, Nigeria, I pursued a Master’s in Public Health. I proceeded to complete rigorous training in Internal Medicine, working as a hospitalist and caring for acutely ill patients. To further enhance my expertise, I obtained a board certification in Obesity Medicine.

This educational foundation has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the complex relationships between healthcare, community, and prevention. While I am hospital-trained, I also enjoy working in ambulatory settings, as preventing chronic diseases has long been a passion of mine.

As an Adjoint Assistant Professor of Medicine, I teach medical students and residents, sharing my knowledge and experience to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Beyond my medical practice, I am dedicated to giving back to my community. I volunteer my time to mentor young physicians, offering guidance, encouragement, and motivation to help them achieve their goals.

Additionally, I serve as the Vice President of my Homeowners Association, working to make a positive impact in my community. I live with my family in Texas, USA, and we’re enjoying life one step at a time.

In my free time, you can find me relaxing with friends, recharging, and rejuvenating for the next challenge.
